About
Our story:
What began in 2003 as a small goldsmithing workshop called Edelsmid Jillian grew into a craft-based studio where ceramics and handmade paints came to life. In 2016, the studio continued under the name De Ambachtelijke Korf – a period filled with growth, new ideas, and creative discovery.
Although goldsmithing gradually took a back seat, the studio flourished thanks to the specially planted dye garden, the handmade paper, and the publication of a book about natural colour. It drew in a wave of new customers and students. The ceramic classes quickly became very popular, and the balance between working with clay and making paint made the work deeply joyful and inspiring.
In 2024, we decided it was time for a new adventure – a different way of living and working, closer to nature. We now live on a farm about two hours from Kristiansand, surrounded by forests, streams, and waterfalls – the new home of our atelier.
